The New Boat with JCs 28pitch lab finished prop just gpsed at 84.0 MPH gps and RPMs a little high at 5500

84 MPH on a 525..........VERY NICE!!!! Rick did a great job with the new steps. John 5500 seems high, where is the rev limiter set at.???

Is there anyway Rick could "tweak" the bottom on Superbabi?

Boat just Maxed out at 5500 dont know what the revlimiter is set at but throttle was all the way and the engine didnt cut back??? Will have to check with JC and when I go for the offical speed trial I want to check-out different trim angles and go throuh a range of RPMs and record the speeds...JC wanted me to check his 28 and thinks the 29 bravo 4-blade lab finish will be just right... Just to much to do with my 11 year old daughter onboard... By the way she still wants to go faster!!! I am in trouble with her she is nuts... Has me chasing ferries around the bay...

Impressive initial #s !!!!!! I just picked up 5 mph top end switching from a bravo 1 to a hydromotive Q-IV!!

I've been dealing with LI Popeller. Mark has been great and knows his stuff.

Pure Energy how do I get in touch with L.I. Propeller, 5MPH higher top end is impressive I would like to talk to mark myself I have always wanted a Hydromotive and if I could demo a couple would be excellent...

Just a thought......Your hull is different than mine and you may not get the same results. Write down your speed #'s at diff. rpms, 3500, 4000, 4500, and WOT. Also adust trim setting while wacthing the gps at each rpm.

Rick, seems as though JCs used 28p reconditioned bravo I 4- blade has the rev limiter working over time... After the new prop gets here and I figure out how to get MPH instead of Knots on the GPS we will do some more speed runs... The Rev limiter was cutting back when hitting 5500RPM @ 66.4Knots (JC likes the Bravo I 4-blade factory lab finished... I also spoke to Mark at LI propeller and he thinks a new stock hydromotive Q-IV 29p which would be finished at his shop would get more speed out of the boat)

This was me last weekend with the girls, I was quite a hit

I believe that both Gary (superbabi) and Gary (o-zone) have 30p Bravo I props that have been labbed and repitched to 29.
Maybe one of them will lend you one to try.
Also, I have found BBlades to be great to work with. Brett has all kinds of test props and was schooled by the best at Merc Racing.
I run a 28p B1 that was tweeked at BBlades and I have yet to find a better prop.
Out of the box the Hydros can be faster but they don't respond well to modifications.

Thanxs Fasterdamit just finished cleaning the boat after last nights adventures and the longer that I have it the more I like it JC, Rick, Bob and JCjr. did a great job puting the boat together... I still need to get the boat back to the shop for the finishing touches... Cant wait for the new highback seats to be completed...
