When we originally started, John was thinking 4's, but now he seems to be leaning towards 3's, he said he wanted to pick Joey at East Coasts brain on it, and was going to talk to the boys at Accurate on their thoughts as well. His feeling is this hull doesnt need the bow lift you generally try and get from the fours.

We really have to get a SB fun run in this year. We could start at JC's or Tanner, run east over to Jones inlet, come back along the ocean side through Fire Island inlet, wind up in Kismet and let it go from there

I thought they looked pretty nice.....and if by night fishing you mean "having dinner and drinks at Kismet" then yea...lots of night fishing to be done:)

Talked to JC before on whats left, basically....

#1 Mount the Console
#2 Install the upholstery
#3 Install trim on the interior
#4 Make the back transom hatch and splash well insert
#5 Gelcoat the interior
#6 Set up the trailer

And then bring it to George and the boys at Accurate for rigging! Getting very excited, really coming together

I dont plan to put any in, except maybe in between the console and the seat tub

noli 02-16-2010 03:14 PM

Exactly, that's where you would need it for when your crew is "fishing" :grinser010:

The Pro ET (top left in the pic) looks like the Lightning ET but in 4 blades.

noli 02-17-2010 01:31 PM

How does the prices of props here compare to ones you have shopped for?

April first it goes in the water Joey is storing it till then. Then I will run it from his house to Sag harbor an rack store it for the season at ShipaShore marina. Excited but after seeing your build feel like I cheated myself by being cheap an not buying new!!!!!!

facilitator 02-17-2010 03:16 PM

Quick question Sean being that I have blue in my interior. How difficult would it be to retro fit the blue led lights on my 24? Also are you installing a foot throtle?

Good find Noli, I just havent had time to look, they didnt have the 3 blade lightning on the merc site, but this must be the one JC was talking about...I need to pay more attention when he speaks!

Not even sure, but thanks for the site, to be honest, I really havent focused on it, JC said he would work with Accurate and figure it out, I see were the confusion came from now though, the three blade is the lightning et, and the 4 blade is the pro et, based off the lightning, amazing what you can find if you take more then three seconds to look :)

Shouldnt be a problem at all, on my 24, I think there was one interior light on in the cockpit, but honestly cant remember, but it shouldnt be a problem at all

And one thing I can say is if you re thinking to buy new, you should definitly think Superboat, I honestly feel like I didnt just buy a boat but an overall experience, its been to fun for words.

JC has been great, always willing to talk boats, and very helpful, and gives you honest advice. Rick builds an amazing boat, and will answer the same questions...over, and over , and over again. Cant say enough about all of it
