Will do...real close on pulling the trigger on a pair of 250 pro xs's, but taking my time still to think it through and do some more research

Opti 250 has a higher RPM range than the 250XS

250XS is a Merc Racing vs Opti 250 & 250 Pro XS are Merc Marine products (2+2 warranty for Merc Racing; 5 year "standard" on Merc Marine- say standard as it comes with 3 years but they always offer 5 for free)

250XS- Fleet, Torque or Sportmaster gearcases in 1.62 or 1.75
250 Pro XS- only torquemaster in 1.75; heard they are now coming with the "Verado" gearcase?

250XS comes with solid motor mounts

They dont, but talked to a few dealers who said they woudl swap out one of the cases to a left handed for a small additional fee, still trying to work that all out

is that 21cc o/b or i/o?

Swapping the case is all it takes? Warranty voided?

I just read the Pro XS rotation can be changed with a "simple change of the bellcrank position".
