He is talking about the gearcase and if the Pro XS can be set up for counter with a gearcase swap this may be the answer.

ps- on my 2007 300XS's the powerhead and lowers are different for each rotation (I've blown 1 power head and 1 lower on each side..knock on wood..so far).
