Noli- That is the base for the bucket seats. The piece in the middle is were you would mount the throttle

noli 11-04-2009 12:39 PM

Ahhh yeah!!!!

This is the only seating arrangement I would put on the CCs.

This is gonna look awesome Sean..nice choice!

...will you have Zero's in the middle?

Yea, it is more and more making sense to get the COG lower when you are driving, I am puuting livorsis in the middle(at least thats the plan for now!)

noli 11-04-2009 01:04 PM

Definitely Livorsi Controls. The arched controls are the newer ones I think:

...and which external steering are you going with?

I think floors might go in late this week/early next, small possibility to pull it out of the mold late next week, but probably the following week is more likely. They have a 30 CC built for stock that they need to move to make room for mine, so I guess plan is to get that one in decent shape and then send it over to JC's for completion so there is room for mine

Noli- my bad again, my phone died before I could email myself the pictures last night, needed to run out and by a charger, left mine at a friends

As far as current status, front hatch looked done and came out great. The center console is done. Rick had told me they were trying to finish up the current 30' CC they were building for stock to move it to JC's house. Rub rail was going on that one, and splash well was being finished. Once that one is out, they can pull mine from the mold and start putting it together (deck, etc)

So really coming along!

Hopeully get some pictures up tonight!

After slacking, here are some pics I took on Friday during my visit to the factory, these are actually of the current model being built for stock (or as I call it "the one that needs to be moved to JC's"). Rick and I carried the millenium console over to the stock model and put it in to see how it would look, overall, it looked great, but I thought it was a little to low in the boat. JC wanted to raise it anyway as part of the seat set up we want to do, and to give me some more visibility over the bow. We were originally kicking around raising it four to six inches

Then today, Rick did me a solid and raised it about 3.5 inches and snapped some shots for me, I think it looks better a little higher up!

And another bit of news.....sold my 24' today, was sad to see her go, she was a good ride for me and my family , but she has a nice new home down in Virginia running on the potomac.

The new owner is a really good guy. Sean, if you join OSO, welcome to the SB family, lots of knowledge here, and great doing business with you

Today should be a good day. Going to try to get the storage areas under the floor gelcoated, and possibly get the floor in.

Sean, my engines are not in yet. Drew said it will come very soon. The 34 is being measured for a cockpit cover and the electronics guy is looking at the instrument setup on the 34 for Simrad install.

Rick, Sean's awesome CC is looking great! I especially like the mock splash well. This will be an awesome boat and probably will be copied by future CC owners.

For those 30CCs that already have left the factory, can they still be outfitted with this splash well or other splash wells?

FX10 11-25-2009 05:53 AM

Noli, the well can go in the other 30cc's . Seans is alot wider and higher. Should be sweet. Glassed half of the cockpit floor yesturday. Will have it finished today. Basically, all thats left after that is to glass in the rod holder boards. This boat is coming out sooooo sweeet. :)
