Went about 1 1/4 below the hull, no real speed increase, but boat is definitly handling better, and it wasnt handling bad previously, so we are gonna come up another quarter inch or so next weekend and see what happens. We definitly have room to come up, water pressure at WOT is around 20-22 psi, and still seeing 5600 rpms trimmed out, so still some room to go on the rpm side as well. so we are going to see what happens. Top end was 78 again last night, and was slowly inching up to 79...78.1, 78.3, 78.5.

George and I were wondering if 30"'s might not be the answer down the road, but not gonna rush it....still happy as can be, and getting a real good feel for the boat. We will get to that 80+ mark

My last guesstimate was 86!

wow...very impressive...you're on you way to breaking 80!

if as the motors go up and the water pressure starts falling, how effective are transom mounted water pickups?

we will never have to go up that high.....at a certain pint it starts becoming counter productive on a V bottom to keep going up....

we still have 500 rpm left to tap into and a set of 30 bravos to try.....next weekend may be the day we break 80.....

I dont think we will need to even think about that, besides, pretty much everyone has told me, and I remember from my 24', you can only go so high, and then it just works against you
