It looks like we'll be picking up a 24' Excalibur. I read elsewhere in the SB section that although these are both 24x7s, the SB descended from a P&D and the Excalibur was its own design. I bring it up because our SB has no pad and I believe the Excalibur does. I also read that there have been a couple of 100+ mph SBs and I'm not aware of any 100+ mph Excaliburs. Can anyone comment on the differences between the two hulls? We don't intend to have a 90 mph 24x7 as that seems pretty stupid, but it would be good to know if there are any performance differences or considerations between the two hulls.

Nothing at all! The water here is pretty rough and I don't think you'd get much use out of a 90 mph 24' boat. I guess we'll see how usable they are and go from there.
