These guys have some nice stuff http://www.ppi-fl.com/

Personally, I like the factory Y2K seats. I think the "Faster-dammit" boat had seat from PPI. That boat was is in the Philly area, not sure if it's still there. It was for sale not too long ago.

Outerlimits, Skater and MTI have Very cool new buckets. But Pricey. Fortunately, I just got finished making a mold for them. Incredibly comfortable, with unmatched lower back support. Which the Y2K seats don't have. These seats are not from Superboat. Use right arrow to scroll through the other pictures of the seat.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

I really like those seats you have put in the boat. Did you get those from the ppi site or are these the ones you have a mold for? What ever seat I put in the boat I would like to keep the leg room the same as I am 6' 6" tall. Also want a seat that better supports the lower back than the stock on. Any info on these seats would be greatly appreciated.

Good looking seat! These are from ppi?

Supreboat in 03-06-2013 10:09 PM

Also occjoe I noticed It looks like you have a sub under the dash in the footrest area witch is what I had planed on doing. How well does this work out? Did you build a box in the cabin area for them to mount to so they are not free airing? I would like to in stall a 15" sub under both dashes but am very timid on cutting holes of that size in my boat and not knowing for sure how well it is going to work out. What size sub or subs did you install?

OCCJoe 03-06-2013 10:50 PM

There are boxes in my cabin . I'm pretty sure you wont have room for anything bigger then a 12 under there . I have 10's and my system sounds awesome . I own a stereo shop so I see and hear all types of systems .
Depending on the type of music you listen to determines what size subs you go with . Unless your gonna have a block party and break out the forty's you won't need 15's .
And free air subs sound like a$s so defiantly make an enclosure ..

Mako 25 03-07-2013 05:14 AM

its not the seats put 10 inches of foam were your feet are .. its amazing when your feet are not flaping around..

Mako 25 03-07-2013 05:21 AM

fx 10 new seats are ugly.. john better lay off the rum..

Mako 25 03-07-2013 05:23 AM

its not the seats your feet need to rest!!!

OCCJoe 03-07-2013 07:10 AM

Seat belts in open cockpit boats are not legal for race or safe !

If your taller then 5' your feet don't dangle !

FX10 doesn't work for Coen anymore he's in NC !

Most old guys won't like change like the new cool seats !

Quit worring bout your post count and put all you sentences in one POST . We can put it all together !

Mako I'm 6'6" and have no problem with my feet touching. In fact the leg room is perfect for me and very comfortable.

OCCJoe 03-07-2013 12:02 PM

Mako 25 or jr as we all know you by . I just looked over all your post since you created your account . I see you have done nothing but try to stir up drama. Why ? It's uncalled for . You have done a poor attempt to fool us all on here . Its bad enough that you were using Eddie's account and making him look like an a$s . Now your gonna do it to your own account .
.You don't own a Y2K anymore
.Your mako only has a 250 on it , I have a pic of it from just a couple of weeks ago
.You know FX10 doesn't work for your dad anymore but you say John must have been drunk
. On other post you said you hate OSO well then get lost . I'll bet if OSO reads all the post you've already put up that they don't like you either
.And last you are the heir to Superboat why don't you act like the responsable business man you might need to step up and be one day .

POWERPLAY J 03-07-2013 12:16 PM

Thanks for answering that question! I'm 6'4" and was wondering how I would fit in a y2k. Everyone i know that owns one have been a lot shorter them me. I was worried about the high freeboard too

I really like the seat! Looks sick! How much? Also do you sell it with covering AND without out covering option? Let me know I am defiantly interested. How well does it fit into the arm rest cut outs in the side of the boat? Are they about the Same overall dimensions?

OCCJoe 03-07-2013 11:53 PM

They fit in the Y2K perfect . We are selling them a few different ways . $950 pair in gelcoat $1500 pair gelcoat with 7" monitors in the backs (1 Year warranty on monitor) . We can also do them in carbon fiber $$$ .
Were not 100% sure about the upholstery cost yet but we will have it soon as we are trying a couple of different shops to figure out who we are going to use .

I'm close to 6' and wouldn't mind if my seat was a few inches closer to the helm. It works as is, I don't want to go through the trouble of moving the seat forward.

They came with the boat and I'm not sure. I think they are from a West Coast supplier.

Occjoe I like loud and fast and believe that it is better to have more than needed than not have enough and want more. I have a pair of kicker comp cvr 15s sitting around and want to put them to use. I just measured and they will fit. The mounting area is around 16.5 to 17 inches. I plan on building clear polycarbonate boxes in the cabin area with custom lighting in the boxes. The question I have is the area above the foot rest under the dashes a major structural part of the boat? Also how thick is it? Is it double walled with wiring or anything in between? Thanks for the help.

FX10 03-19-2013 02:47 AM

Yes, that bulkhead is a MAJOR Structural bulkhead. And if I were you, I wouldn't be hollowing out 15' inches of it.

z.zuperboat 03-23-2013 06:37 AM

I put my speakers in the foot rest facing down. Dont really see them and their plenty loud. Maybe not 15 inch loud but plenty loud for me. No structure issues there.

Supreboat in 03-23-2013 08:37 AM

Zuperboat do u have pictures? I am taking the boat to a audio shop this morning to have them look at it. What size speakers. Facing down? In the foot rest and you don't see them?

OCCJoe 03-23-2013 09:12 AM

Size doesn't equal loud . My son has a single 12" with only 900 watts and a few months ago went to a stereo competition in Fl and beat out people several with dual 12's , 15's and 18's . Sound in a stereo is all about setup . My installer is wowed by my y2k sound and I've been asked several times on the beach to turn it down . If they don't want to hear it they shouldn't play music I don't like lol . You should deffently take FX10's advice considering he did build your boat ! Just my 2c

Supreboat in 03-23-2013 06:16 PM

Yes I got to looking at it today and you guys were wright. Especially considering there is a stress crack down were you step down into the cabin. Thanks for talking me out of that! I was thinking about putting the 15s in a bad ass band pass box down in the cabin and the access hatch to behind the dash would serve as a bass port to the cockpit. Also thinking about cutting the same access hatch into the passenger side. It would also serve as a bass port and also make it easier to access the back of the head unit. Just a idea. What do you think about that. I would not be cutting big holes in the boat and no one would even see the subs or the hole in the cockpit area. Would be clean.

Supreboat in 03-23-2013 06:20 PM

Also would be nice to have the box were it clips in and build it right were I can unclip and slid it out to race.

z.zuperboat 03-24-2013 07:40 AM

The boats covered for the winter Sorry no pics. As far as seeing them if your looking for them you can see them. Ive had people ask where they are, them I point them out . As far as size just good Good Pioneer 6x9 . No sub no amp. Yes its time for a new radio. Cds have stopped playing.

z.zuperboat 03-24-2013 07:43 AM

What I really need is an antenna for my GPS speedo. I have the 5 inch monster on the dash with the button and use a dash mount GPS I want the livorsi to work.. Tried to use the port out of the gps but no good Need a reasonable antenna that will work . Any Ideas ?

Why didn't the port on your GPS work? You might have to go into the "setup" menus of you GPS and turn "NMEA output" on. That's what I had to do with my Garmin.

As far as the speakers, I was wondering if your deck/dash setup is the same as all the other Y2K's? Doesn't your boat have the Y2K bottom and the Tempest deck? I've never seen it up close.

z.zuperboat 03-25-2013 08:04 AM

Yes Tempest /Y2K Footrest area mite B the same. My dash is flat with footrest boxes glassed in.

How is the boat handling LOTO weekends?

Keytime 08-27-2013 12:43 AM

Great run, Jarod!

Supreboat in 08-27-2013 03:21 PM

Thank you! It was nice to meet you. It was a lot of fun and met a lot of great people. You have one clean looking fast reliable boat. It was great to get a trophie from the loto shootout. I'm sure you probably have a whole stack of them. Just talked to My engine builder and the motor should be on the dyno tomorrow and hopefully in the boat by this weekend. 81mph at only 5200 rpm with a 28pitch is about 12 percent slip. I am thinking i should be around a 32 pitch with the new motor. As long as I can keep the slippage down I should be around 94 95mph. That extra 5 to 6 mph to achieve 100 is probably going to kill my bank account and my marriage but I hope to be there by next years shootout.

Keytime 08-27-2013 10:33 PM

Thanks for the compliment. The Check is tame compared to most participants, but it's a fun machine. :D

Keep us posted on your progress. And try to dodge the divorce... those get more expensive than boats. lol

Supreboat in 08-28-2013 07:20 AM

Lol will do.
