Gary, how's your y2k treating you? Anything new this year?

Nothing new Nick.... the 598 has been very well behaved (knock on wood) runs late 80's pretty effortlessly.... haven't really pushed it too hard...don;t want to cause myself any problems.... I too would like to try a -2 shorty... but I'm pretty content with it the way it is....

In the end you just won't know till you try . Every boat is diferent . I know my setup was not the same having the Konrad but when Dave was testing he tried a spacer and killed the performance so he took it back off . I'm now gonna be running without the weight of a tranny or the 160lb drive so in all I probably lost 100lbs so I went ahead and bought the spacer for the SCX just I case .

How did the boat run with the Konrad? I'm thinking that in the long run we'll pull the guts from this Excalibur we bought and put 'em in a faster hull. A Y2K is on the short list, but I'm curious to know how it handled the weight of the drive and transmission.
