Had a chance to get out and enjoy a beautiful day last week with my wife, she really appreciated the bimini after all afternoon on the water. And no! I did not add a mast!!! Thanks Jerrybondo for the pics!

So how does it run compared to an I/O boat?

To tell the truth, I’ve been out only a few times with my wife and haven’t pressed it. Still getting a feel of how it behaves without pissing off my wife😉. Running a full Tank of gas, 130 gallons down to nothing and playing with the 42 gallon ballast tank certainly changes the boats attitude. Bone dry she’s light up front for sure. This boat requires a bit of tab I find to run slow on plane as there is a slight hop, possibly induced by the forward step (which is further forward on this boat compared to the old). I tend to keep the motors trimmed down. As speed increases running tabs parallel seemed to work well running to around 45-50. From there tab up and trim motors up a touch and she REALLY motivates! Very impressive acceleration! The boat seems to turn and track well when you crank the steering at speed. I’d say this boat requires more attention/feel to be driven than my old I/o. To be fair, I have not had a lot of seat time
The boat is back at superboat chasing gremlins with a punch list of things to do, including the jack plate indicator which hadn't worked since I picked it up(bad gauge), port tab and port motor trim quit working, and my ballast tank discharge pump stopped working. Throttle cable slack adjustment and other bs. Hopefully to be sorted out in short order 🤞.
I’m still waiting for my ordered props to show up.
