We were talking about the poker run this weekend. Should be there though. I have some pics of this weekend to post. Maybe I can upload them tonight. (not boating pics).

Here we go. We raced #2004. 425 miles. ran out of gas, lost a wheel, and got stuck behind another car stuck in silt. We finished in fourth out of 14. Can't believe it.

What class were you guys in Tom? And who won overall? I couldn't make it out this year :(

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

We ran the 1600 cars. My buddie just bilt the car last summer and took first place in the Parker 400. This year was a little different as you heard. I'm not sure who won as i was out in the middle of the desert for the whole day, then left after we finished.

I remember those days.... break, sit, fix, break again, wait for support truck, load up race car, go home.... rinse repeat. I'm sure you guys will do better at the next race. Good Luck

Congrats on the deal Tom. When my boat gets all together I plan to use Bronson Hill in Santa Ana to get the prop dialed in. Drop me a line if you wanna get involved when I talk to them. Maybe they can cut us a 2 boat deal or something?

Rob

Rob, I used Bronson Hill way back when they broke away from Chad hill. Byron always did me right. :drink:

On the bottom of the page, click on boat covers. On the next page click on ( if your boats not listed click here). Next page click on (performance style boats) type PB. Click on your lenght 31.7 to 32.6'. Select inboard. I got the 100% polyester semi custom for $334. Free shipping and tie downs.

Hey Faster,
I ordered up one of these covers in black today. Obviously a smaller version for my 24'...
Hopefully I'll get it before my boat comes back from the fiberglass repair shop.
How long did it take to get yours?
I don't want to put my ugly tarp over her again before the season starts... :drink:

Pat,
It ain't going to happen in this boat unless I crank up the timing and burn some race fuel, perfect water, leave the anchors and gear on shore, go on a diet, take a chit before I try. Ah heck. I'll wait for Huntington to be King. Then I'll drop on a ProCharger and be at 1300 HP until the drive goes south. Then buy a ? drive and refi the house to keep up wit the Jone's. :D

ProCharger??? Whipple!

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

One ProCharger will do the trick. It will take two whipples for that much power. :drink:

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

Faster, you don't need no stinking supercharger.
You have the fastest Y2K to date with that 801HP/598 beast.
Test some props and add a nose cone.
100mph is within reach... :evilb:

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

Well, remember my engine oil cooler could'nt keep up with the heat? I spent most of my time on the beach last summer wishing I could run past 4000 rpm. I'm pretty sure the new custom cooler will work. I ran it as hard as I could for the size lake I tested it in last October. Seem to be ok. I also just purchased a labbed Bravo1 30 prop per instructed by prop no it alls. They also recommend a 1" drive spacer which I don't have yet. I'm almost ready. Oh, my kids said they need seat belts! Not a bad idea.

Last I heard whipple wasn't releasing the 5 liter to the general public yet only a few builders for testing... I could be misinformed but I dont thinks its out till May or June?

That's ok. I'm not ready. The more power the more problems.
