FF2, you can't really put a 50 on a Mini Hawk. It'll sink. I had 1 with a 25. The guy I sold it to put a 40 on it, and it sank. It's too narrow. You need a 10' Supervader. You can throw a 90HP on it if you want. A 25HP pushes it at 40MPH.

I am not going to put a 50 on it. I was thinking the 35 range. I have it setup to run 40 now. Hopeing for close to 50. :D :evilb:

I need to know how much you got from the oil pan seal to the hull ( oil pan clearance) and how much you have from top of block to hatch scoop ( will the blower fit). Thankx buddy

Well not officially gonna be in the Heat Wave Poker Run in Havasu at the end of the month. Rob, if your gonna be on the water, I'll be staying at Havasu Springs. When day breaks I will be in front of Black Meadows to watch the 150mph freaks fly by. Then head towards the bridge to hange out.

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

We are doing the same, no run but on the water... From what I under stand they are gonna let the guys hit it as soon as they clear the buoys in Thompson Bay so we might watch from the copper canyon area. I think we are going to be in my brothers Elim. 28' but not sure yet. I'll get a hold of you when we get a little closer and we can figure out where to watch from.

Well, I got out to try the labbed 30! Not what I expected. 5300 rpm and low 80's! Something must be wrong with this prop. I seen much better with stock props. No wonder this buy sold it on Ebay. Labbed by BBlades I'm sure because of the box it came in. Oh well back to the stock Bravo's or Hydro's.

Tom,
I like the harness, but you still need something to hold on to. JC's cross bar works great. Holds you in, while giving you something to hold on to. I used it on Superbabi.

FASTERDAMITT 05-01-2006 11:06 PM

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

Fx, I used the same belts but without the shoulder harness. Tried them this weekend at the Poker Run and everyone said it was much better than before. By the way we made the Superboat Y2k very respected by many! :D

Here's some weekend pics. :drink: Would you beleive I actually took this Skater! Well for a minute! He broke a blade on his Herring just as we hit about 75mph. Looks like it was cracked for some time. The Skater was driven by the Jeff Murry. He's the person that towed my boat to California. It's owned by Terrible Ed Herbst.
I wish I had more boat pics but I was too busy burnin my $3.65gal fuel.
