Yep a west coast thing for sure. I always wondered what would happen if one of the rams failed?? |
Re: Prototype Y2K Single scoop hatch
Just my opinion Funk. They look too complicated for durability.

Re: Prototype Y2K Single scoop hatch
Well yes it does take some planning to mount the Dana auto-hinges.
But the results are pretty stunning to me. Standard external hinges are rock solid and easy to install. Yes generally any hidden hinges are harder to install but good looking like the trunk lid of your car. Dana hinges are hidden and hydraulically actuated. They look great but for every cool feature there can be a downside....like a dead battery or a fluid leak on one side only! |

Rick
1)Any chance of doing the hatch scoop bezel polished instead of powercoated white for mine? 2)Possibility of a plate with slots cut in instead of wide open? |

Gary,
Anything is possible with the scoop bezel. It all comes down to $$$$ |

Ive come to the conclusion....I saw the aluminium trim for the hatch scoop and Im gonna leave well enough alone. I will powdercoat the piece silver though... |

What's your plan? Imco, Teague, Merc?... As the Y2k bottom already has a notch in it can I assume there will be no extender box? |
