Sutphen Pics-Let's See Em'
#91
An old friend of mine bought a 30 Ocean Pacer new in 1982, 370's/TRS. He's only used it a handful of times. (under 50 orig hours) It lives in his toy barn, show room new condition, never been left outside.
Unfortunately, it hasn't been used since 1996 and I don't think he'd ever sell it. He enjoys just looking at it
Sutphen was huge up here in the North East. Offshore Speed & Ski in Stonington, CT moved a lot of them in the 80's There's still quite a few of them in the Boston area.

no, never thought of selling TOASTY, plus the girl friend likes it too much and loves to help with the maint. Not sure what i would purchase if i did sell, the balance and ride of this boat is just too good. i hope to give her a few years and really go over everything. I did it once while in college, but that was on a pretty tight budget with me doing all the work...

The dude I sold my boat to lives in Scituate, MA. I don't know how close that is to you but he was talking about changing the hatches the other day. Maybe you two could swap because he wants to put scoops on his and it would be easier to put scoops on yours so you guys could do a switcheroo.

My dad raced a 30 Sutphen in the late 70's (Litl. Flap Jack) and I believe it was called an Intimidator and not an Ocean Pacer. But LS or LSjr. would certainly know for sure.
