Heads need more space to flow and cam needs more lift.

Not messing with it. There is plenty of power there for me right now. Just want to get it together for TF.

By the way. You probably won't need to change the jets on that carb. I actually put smaller jets in my carb this morning and my HP wnet up

I am running a 74 and 86 at 32 degrees. If the heads won't flow it, or the displacement is not big enough, there is no need for bigger jets. THat is what I learned today at school.

So iguess the smooth operator and the whatever the fu(k andy's boat is called will have more power.

Andy has a boat with more than 550HP ???? I have yet to see this ghost boat and/or ghost engines....starting to think maybe he just tells girls he has a fast boat without a beak to impress them..... :drink:

That's funny, just the other day you were lending me your expertise in carb jetting. Telling me I needed more jet.....I think I've finally learned just not to argue.

Jeff, I don't know why your disappointed w/ 600 ft. lbs. of torque. That seems pretty strong to me.

Learn something new every day.

Learned that the big jets don't do any good unless you open up the air passage to allow adequate air flow to pull fuel through the jet.

I hope you are right its a pain in the azz to change the jets in this carb because of my coil bracket. Dean Gellner semms to think i will have to jet down also but im no carb expert so i guess maybe i will have to run it down to conroe on wed and have someone school me.

No matter how big you go on heads, exhaust etc. you will always have a bottleneck somewhere. The only thing you can do is get them as close to meshing as you can.
