Both good trucks, personally went with the ford due to rear seat comfort/configuration. Strictly personal choice.

"rear seat comfort/configuration"...? do you have a chauffer? When in my own truck there is only one seat I ever sit in, and it's not in the back!

I drive a 3/4 ton suburban so my opinion doesn't count. I like the chevy in the SRW and the Ford in the DRW.

I'm defenitly a Ford man but the reality is, they are both great trucks and you wouldn't be doind bad with either of them. Just don't buy a Dodge

As said before...
I have both trucks, in Ext cab, not crew cab...9200gvws
The GM is a nicer overall truck.
The tranny behaves beter, The truck rides better, handles better.

The Ford has the edge in braking though.
Stiffer suspension. Wanders on the road a lot more than the GM.
Ford sits higher, but has less ground clearance.

I own a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 Crew Cab Short bed Duramax. I have always owned Chevy. I guess that is because I sell them. They are great trucks. I have had no problems and pulls my 30 great. (About a 11,000lbs load) I Love the 5 speed trans and the lower first gear with the Allison. I would say one of the best transmissions in the business. As far as stopping no problems with it stops great and no worries. It all come down to personal choice. Ask me Chevy. my .02

Nahh, no chauffeur, but consideration beats the hell out of listening to everyone ***** that rides in the backseat on the way home from the river..and I've found that the rear seat in the chevy was uncomfortable to passangers..Sold my chevy dually because my kids wouldn't even ride back there.
