Not a big deal and can be done for under a grand. Then adjust the timing so you can run 93 or 92 oct. Forget all the additive crap...not worth the trouble and you can still screw it up.

Yes, it is the original engine, it's a number's matching car.
The engine was rebuilt in 83' I think, I'll have to check the paperwork. I got a lot of documentation with the car. I bought some lead additive just in case.
My buddy who owns Corvettes West will be able to help me out a lot I think. He's really excited that I got the car, especially with that particular engine. Tommy's first Corvette was the exact same car minus the side pipes, and he still has it.
I still can't get over the sound it makes. That loping as hell cam, solid lifters, side pipes, man it's just killer. One of the cashiers I know said you could hear it as soon as I pulled in the parking lot. And the entrance is probably 700 ft. away from the door.

RedDog, what a beautiful '67!! What 427 do you have? Mine is long gone, but it was Marlboro Maroon and the 390 HP with the side pipes.
Wish I still had it.

At Barrett Jackson they are pulling anywhere from 135 to 200K for a top flight car....

You'd still see at least 100K for yours, IF you can find the hood..

Who'd have thunk????????
