I've got an '05 and have put 21K miles on it with no problems whatsoever. Pulls my Top Gun like it's not even back there, even though I'm probably above my tow rating. I have been changing the Allison spin-on trans filter on every other oil change and will change the trans fluid when I hit 25K miles. I haven't added a chip. Everyone says that I should...but I just see any reason to do that, it has plenty enough power just the way it is.

I have 16k miles on my 06 2500HD 4x4 duramax/allison.

2 oil changes, 1 fuel filter, 1 spin on tran filter. 1 check engine light which turned out to be a bad egr valve. That was taken care of while they did the glowplug recall.

Awesome truck, has averaged 16.3 mpg since new including city/highway/towing.

Would definitely buy another
