Class 5 Trailer Hitch
Just bought a 3500 Duramax to pull our 382 Fas3Tech. What is the best place to buy a quality class 5 hitch/ reciever mount for the truck?

Re: Class 5 Trailer Hitch
I bought a Putnam for my Ram 2500. I'm pretty happy with it. It uses 2" draw bars. Here is one for your truck for $170...

Re: Class 5 Trailer Hitch
Hitch Biz is my Biz.
Putnam makes the only straight tow 2" class 5.
Buy a new one at any Uhaul on special order. Or Ebay... Or hitch web.
You could also get a double receiver Torklift that will haul up[ to 17.5K off the double receiver.
Putnam hauls 15K and m16 with Weight distribution, and has the ballmounts and hitch balls to accommodate up to that capacity.
No one else supplies those capacities in a production 2" receiver. You could also could go with a 2-1/2" Titan receiver from Reese/Drawtite.. Capacity to 12K.+ more with weight distribution. OEM Factory stuff is way more $$
The Putnam is the best price. Torklift the best hitch and reese/drawtite the best name. Suggest whatever you buy matches up capacities wtih ballmount and ball.
Good in Beaverton

Read the data plate on the hitch VERY carefully...
Just got the Putnam for my F350.. Nice piece.. I believe on the GM version there is a bit of welding you have to do to install, the trailer connector bracket or something?? Buizilla just put one on his, PM him for details if he doesnt see this...

Putnam XDR here. Search this forum. Recently did a pictorial of my set-up. If you don't need the seven-pin, just get a 4 pin end pigtail (available anywhere Hoppy brand or whatever), plug it into the harness T up under the truck and lock tie the flat 4-pin plug to the bottom side of the bumper with a thin spacer. There are some small holes in the bottom of the bumper that work perfect for this. You can barely see it but can pick it out in the pics I posted. and yes, I lost the rubber cap.
Sydwayz hole drilled his bumper one side of the plate for 7-pin and surface/flush mounted...nice
