I have a custom 2002 Pete and, like other have said, it tows the boat like it is not even there. The boat and trailer are right around 21K pounds and the truck handles it really well. I just took delivery of a new F-450, so the Pete may be for sale here in the very near future. It is garage kept, and has only 10K miles on it. For the little bit of long distance traveling we are doing, it just seems like a huge waste to have that truck sitting in the garage. So, if the 450 handles the boat OK, the Pete will be for sale. Here is an ad for the boat with a few more pictures of the Pete. http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o14820-en.html

Warparty, to gp from a C7 330 to a 350 is only a software re-flash. On power complaints you may want to have someone look at the converter ratio if it is an Allison. For what ever reason Allison seems to have a difficult time in providing the correct converters. For 2007, to go from a 300 to a 330 involves a different DPF, turbo and injectors. Expensive. 275 to 300 is a re-flash. From what I have been told, If a person thinks Cat parts are expensive take a look at some of the MBE parts prices. As far as 07 MBE product, I don't believe they even have the over 250 hp product figured out. Fot the time being, heard customers are being forced into a Cummins if the hp requirement is over 250 till they get the MBE straightened out.

Are there problems with the Benz motor? I thought it was a good motor? I am putting a deposit on one tomorrow, so if this is the case I would really like to hear more before I get locked in.

How often do you drive it?

I do more traveling to the airport than anything, so I would make the Sportchassis my daily driver around town. I only drive around 1 time per week on average.

Be aware- most states have no lemon law on something this size. That can be an issue- especially when you have a truck manufacturer and the chassis convertor involved
