Thanks for the info. I drove both trucks. I told my salesman that I wanted the duramax/allison in the ford. Loved the allison trans. Ford is coming out with a flash and chip for the 6.4s soon but he told me that Ford is working on a new motor and will be out in a year or two. I dont keep my trucks for long or put alot of miles on them. So I did order a Duramax today. I do like the inside/outside looks of the ford better but not that motor. Hopefully Ford will have a better motor when I get tired of the chevy. Thanks for all the info. Heath

Glad you drove both before you considered. Did you see what I mean about the way the 6.0/6.4L seems like it revs too high always?

I think they keep the converter looser because the power is made much higher on in the RPM range on the ford than on the chevy.

Ford's small block diesel is due out as an 09/10 model, hadnt heard anything about changing up the 6.4 yet.

In any case you bought the proven powertrain combination, congrats.

Glad you went Duramax. Look under the hood of the Ford and see the number of hoses, plumbing etc. on the 6.4. It's a nightmare. More stuff to go wrong. The Duramax is much simpler.

No....just bored. I enjoy stirring up the Wannabee and Gonnabee tribes. Their target is entirely to big and juicy to pass up whirling an arrow into. If you think a hornets nest is bad.......Shake the bush that a wannabe or gonnabee is hiding in....as you can see above......they are a very unstable bunch.....

I am on the verge of recommending Chris Stinkin for a nomination of Co-Presidency of both the Wannabees and the Gonnabees. It will be a huge honor and a first of its kind.....but I think he has the talent to pull it off successfully.

Guess masturbation has lost its appeal? I guess you can only jerk yourself off so many times in any one day. You can always go back to watching pro wrestling or Ninja Turtles between towing your (dad's) "totally big pimpin' toy hauler" around overloaded and over the speed limit, then ranting like a spolied teenager when you get called on your stupid $hit.

Seems like the only instability to be found is you. Your little juvenile tantrums are becoming OSO classics. Someday when you reach adulthood you can show your ravings to your children as an example of what not to become.

Sorry, I'm way too old to wanna' be anything that I already haven't been or am not already. Besides, what do I wanna' be? You? Maybe a lobotomy and a substance abuse habit will get me down to your level.

Hey, don't argue anymore guys. I figured out the misunderstanding. The "commercial expert" you spoke with in Tennessee misunderstood. He was actually an expert on commercials who sits in the TV room at Graceland and eats peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

I am not really comfortable discussing this with you.....but since you brought it up.....how many times a day do you consider "too much"? I really did not want to get into this as I feel that this has gotten far too personal with you and I know your feelings are hurt....but now..........this whole latent homosexuality thing of yours is beginning to rear its ugly head.....no pun intended. Do you really want to discuss this "Issue" of yours in an open forum??
