It could be worse yours could look like this.
06 F250 Harley 36000 miles getting head gaskets!

Yes they were just changed about 2000 miles or less ago...

Best thing you can do for a 6.0 is SCT Programmer with custom tunes, trucks run so much better then stock, the added power is just icing on the cake. Fords flashes are screwy causing big losses of mileage, more lag, or just not running like it should. Everytime they touch something they seem to screw it up more.

What are guys doing with your trucks ?
I've had 2 F250s with 6.o put over 100k on them with no trouble .
And I don't baby the trucks . Just Lucky ?

Same here. Minor issues.

Tuners are hard on head gaskets.

Thats what i have sct with custom tune, the head bolts are the weak link in these motors to much boost stretches the head bolts then wham blown head gasket. or worse.

Yeh you don't have to go excessive, just a good tune, intake, exhaust and you have great power, smooth powerband with torque everywhere, and good mpg. Make a stock 6.0 feel like an absolute dog in comparison unloaded and loaded.
