G M C! I can walk away from a 450......with me pulling more weight. But......my truck is far from stock. If you roll up on me towing...you will get your feelings hurt.

The de-tuning of the 450 is no longer the case. Initially, the 450 with 4:88's was de-tuned to the specs you mention. The 450 with 4:30's has the same hp and tq as all 6.4's. The 4:88's are no longer available on the 450. I definitely agree with you that the 450 is in another league and is a much heavier feeling than 250/350's. If you need the capacity of the 450, it is the only way to go. The 450 gives you bigger brakes, heavier axles, 19.5" wheels with HD tires for doing one job...towing big loads. I average 10.5 - 11 mpg with mine and realize that is the nature of the beast. In all if you need the capacity of a 450, get one. If not look at all the brands, as Jass said, they all have their good points and problems.

Hey guys.....I've had both Chevys and Fords over the years, and I am currently planning on selling my '05 Chevy Duramax Dually LT, aftermarket chrome (alum) rims with only 6,500 miles....what do you think I should get $ wise.

I am looking at the new Ford F350 Super Duty and I am really impressed! They feel alot more like a truck...which I like.

If you reflash do you need to do anything special for inspections/ warranty work? Also what Brand does everyone recommend. I have a 08 F350 DRW with the 6.4 and the 4.10 axle.

Just go to the dealer and get the flash from the manufacture..first..you will see an improvement in mileage and slight acceleration. Guage what you are getting now and after the reflash..mine was almost a gain of 2 mpg. Jeff
