Thanks Mark, let your dealers service manager know and tell him about this thread if you have the oppprtunity. The more chains that get rattled the more likely something will happen. Thanks again!!!

Chuck,

My Ford rep came by the store yesterday and we talked about your situation. She said she still hadn't heard from your rep. Maybe if the people at Ford and your dealer at least acted like they wanted to help, you would feel better. I am sorry that you are getting such poor service.

People keep mentioning "service parts warranty" should take care of the radiator but I think the problem with that is that the last radiator was 20,000 miles ago and the service parts warranty on most parts is 12/ 12,000. Even still, Ford should cover it in my opinion.

[QUOTE=Catmando;2900717]I think the best truck is a six door F650 with a built 5.9 Cummins(700hp/1400tq) and the new 68RFE Dodge automatic transmission. For $5000 you can buld a Cummins that will never break(hard to break them even stock).

Mine is a white 2006 quad cab dually with the G56 six speed manual and 3.73 rear end. Perfect match of the transmission gears and the rear end gear. I do wish I had the 68RFE though. I get awful tired of shifting this truck around town now that I'm not working.

Oh and for you Powerstroke guys;

www.fordcummins.com

[/QUOT What a great site, I'm going to start looking at the 6.0's in a different way now, cummins conversion.

Thanks for trying Matt. I do appreciate your efforts.

I had my radiator checked and they changed it out yesterday on the spot..I was in and out in about two hours..they gave me a truck to use to check my jobs as well. It is important to have a good dealer..Im going back now cause they want it for a few other warr. items...It's too bad that not all dealers aren't the same. Matt..your a good guy..and Chuck I hope it gets worked out for you buddy.

Mcraymond3,
In regards to the question you previously asked about if us d-max guys were worried about our warranties in regards to GM filing bk, yes! I own a 2008 2500 CC/SB D-max and love my truck. I purchased it last year, so before gm went bk. We were looking at the Malibu for the wife (I've always been a made in USA guy) the day before GM filed bk. We were going to purchase the following day; however, when GM announced they were going bk, we wen't and bought her a Camry.

Chuck,
I'm sorry you are having so many problems. My brother had a 04 6.0 and had that truck lemon lawed because of all of the problems he had on it. I would strongly recommend that after reading all 13 pages of this. It's not just you, I know somebody who has a d-max that was still under warranty, had an injector fail, blew the motor, and got denied warranty. He has been waiting (literally) over 1 year now, been to court several times with his attorney, and still waiting. I'm sure that there are some Dodge guys going through some other stupid stuff, just like you and my friend are.

Chuck sorry to hear about your problems. Your boat looked amazing at both Seneca and Sacandaga, passing of course.

In the end I believe it goes completely back to the dealer. I have had dealers fight 100% for me then other who just fought against me. Best of luck and I learned that you can't get upset over it. Just smile and nod, when being flustered it allows the dealers to see they have you by the sack. I worked at a dealer for a while and when people came in and constantly *****ed they were quickly shunned compared to the quiet ones who were helped in a timely fashion. Think about it as if wives had a mute button!!

In your case though, I would (at least in my head), drive the truck right through the service dept, once finished of course.

Btw... Just remembered that our F700 bucket truck came with a 5.9 cummins stock. Thought it was odd when I first saw it. Reliable as the sunrise, but just as slow too. 18,000lb curb weight

"She" and "Ford Rep" should not be in the same sentence. IMHO. With all do respect, if you expect anything serious to erect.

Rarely does a Cummins motor have a problem. The rest of the powertrain and truck yes but the Cummins almost never has issues.
