Well ended up with another Ford. Picked up a 2010 F350 DRW Lariat. Truck is quiet and rides and handles absolutely awesome. Way better than my 2005 F250. Hopefully this will be one of the good ones!! Thanks for everone's input!

Why didn't you wait for the 6.7? They'll be on dealers' lots in Feb.

I needed the truck now and got a GREAT deal. None of the dealers I spoke to could verify they were coming out in February. PLUS, I never buy a first year production engine or vehicle...why wait for something I wouldn't buy anyway??

08 350 DRW around 8 MPG pulling 16,100# I have 16000 miles on it. So far its been perfect, but I change the oil every 5000 miles and do not have any aftermarket mods.

Opinions? First hand experience? Only thing I didn't like was the 8.4 MPG on the test drive. 4.30 gears....is this accurate?

Thanks
make sure you know what you're getting. they make two versions.... pleasure, if you will, and commercial. the commercial has a box frame vs. the 'c' frame. mine has a 488 gear, and runs perfectly w/ the 22.5's, accellerating like crazy etc.... it would be too much gear w/ the stock 20's. rpm's would be thru the roof even at 60 mph.

much more done to it by the 'roll-a-long' company in cali. pm me if you'd like more info. otherwise, there's a pic of it in the classifieds w/ my skater hooked up to it.

http://offshoreonly.com/classifieds/...o29117-en.html.

it was actually built in '07, but did not get the truck until january 2009. lots of engine/tranny/brake/rear end/air bag etc... work done to it.

hope this helps,

joe

Yesterday I drove about 550 miles in my 08 F350 SD DRW 3.75. At 60 MPH on the NJ tpk (southbound) I got 19.8. At 70 I got 13.5!!!!! I was using the built in Ford computer for the measurements. The only difference I could see was 0 boost at 60 and 15 PSI at 70. I could not believe the difference. I was not carrying a load while I was making these measurements. I am going to have to ask my dealer if you can program the turbo to reduce the boost if you are cruising.

Wow, about an additional 100K!!! I have a wholesale car and powersports business and recently went to a personal watercraft auction, and couldn't buy a thing because a guy from Australia was buying everything. I want to get into your market!!! Interested in a partnership. We could make alot of $$$$$$$. What sort of tarrifs are there on imports from the US?
