How big of a truck do I need?

Not sure what the lift does but the trucks look big enough to tow the boats safely

congrats on the new truck. Sounds like the Single rear wheel works good for you compared to the drw and it looks awesome! Enjoy

Yea from what i have heard the alisons dont like that much power, but if you are not getting on it all the time and racing it, it does not know the difference. The part thats hard on them is a big load with lots of power, like towing, or a 3-5 gear pull. I bought it to be a truck not a hot rod, i got a C6 vette for that.

Your truck has the Allison 1000. The medium dutys have the stronger 2000-3000 transmissions.

01-05 5spd Allisons 100hp over rwhp, 06- up 6spd Allisons 120hp over rwhp. I've ran a 160hp ppe tune on my stock trans with bigger tires with no issues and it straight rips with a 120 bully dog in it, they do an excellent job defueling their tunes for shifts imo.

Smarty is the big deal for Rams with Bully Dog second and Hypertech moving up fast.
