Kristy's First Truck (when I met her she drove a 01 Mustang GT 5 Speed and a 99 camaro) This dakota made her fall in love with trucks, along with the FAST 03 diesel above.
1998 Dakota 5 Speed V8, Headers, Hurst T-handle short throw, dual exhaust, 18" wheels, 32' nitto tires, o2 sensor eliminator, no cats, MSD, air intake, etc, etc, etc, Fast and FUN! She also painted it!
She likes to drive it hard!
Which in turn made her buy this next
08 HEMI 2500 6 SPEED manual, intake, lift, 18x10"rims, Cooper STT 33x13.5", etc, etc. Towing our previous boat, 1994 Baja 32 Caliber

Wait...you paid $54,000 for a 3 year old truck??? Surely you didn't do that...
Valair is a good tranny too, lots of Cummins guys who tow heavy and/or have lots of power use Valair.

Update on my Rig.
106,000 miles decided to check the brake pads while tires were off. 60% pad left!!! WOW!
I tow heavy and work these brakes hard. The built in trailer brake controller does not allow me to set the trailer brakes more than the truck brakes. Its to "smart". Which is a good thing. My old trucks add on brake controllers I could set them till it dragged me back then lower it a little. Trailer brakes still have at least half left also. Really happy.
Also forgot to mention the addition of a Mag Hytec rear diff cover about 50,000 miles ago. Can not tell any difference besides the cost of a fluid change! LOL! But it gives me some piece of mind. Never had a problem in 400,000 miles on the 03, but its fun to mod our trucks.

Yeah I think about adding injectors, turbo, boost tube, cooler, air horn, water/meth, fuel pump etc. But I do not think I will improve my MPG enough to regain my investment. I have already improved so much with the mods done. Towing so heavy that there has to be a point where I stop gaining.
My rig gets more hand caculated MPG than any other car hauler rig I have met on the road, loaded heavy.
Thanks for the idea though. Always looking at ways to make more money to spend on boating!
