Finally came in and picked it up yesterday and I like it, here is some info below.

Sticker was 38k and some change, XLT super cab, 4wd, max trailer package, XLT chrome and convience package. Got it at invoice and 4k in rebates. truck cost about 32 after tax. Didn't quite get what I wanted for the diesel but to be honest with you happy it's gone. Insurance is already 100 bucks cheaper a year and reg is 50 cheaper.

Ok now for the truck. Interior is pretty nice many logical things like a cell phone holder, USB, etc. Ford still has some carry over as far as window buttons, gear shifter looks pretty much the same, steering wheel is leather wrapped. SYNC is cool as well.

Transmission is a six speed auto which might be one reason you can get good MPG. It also has a tap shift function where you can select which gears you want to be in. Also the DIC is like 4 in color screen it will display truck data as well as trailer data when you are towing.

You can barely tell the truck is running it so quiet. The steering is some new computer assisted steering and is awesome it steers very effortlessly, believe it's kind of like the fly by wire concept. I expected the ride to be better than the F250 but as far as half tons I have been in, it is probably one of the most quiet and comfortable rides in any half ton i have been in.

I drove home with it 80miles and set the cruise on 70 and it was getting 19.0mpg,

All this data is concurrent with the model I bought you can probably get the truck for less than 30 if you less some of the options. I would never pay 40 plus for a half ton it's idiotic in mind, without the rebates and such it wouldn't have been a deal.

Overall nice truck and we will see this weekend how it tows

Congrats, it is amazing how nice trucks ride now and how quiet they are (even the HDs). F-150 just feels more solid then the GM/Dodges in the way it drives, like an old Benz... feels like its carved out from a bankvault.

Overall its a better truck than my 07 chevy was, and the 07 isnt much different than the 2011 they have now. Word is GM is going big in 2013, I wont be in the market for anything else yet. But it will be fun to see what happens.

What rear end did you get and did you get the console or column shift?

I can tell you how it tows....like a small diesel. Pretty incredible.

Compared to a roaring V8 its like you are riding with a set of Bose headphones on - especially towing up hills where the v8 start downshifting instantly to pull the load.

Congrats

I maxed her out 3.73 max trailering the works. I got the standard shifter. Buddy has the counsel shift and to be honest I think its cool but a waste of money, because it is extra. I would rather have the bigger glove box in the middle with an arm rest and have the option to seat somebody there than have that counsel shift.

Pros and cons

1. Easier to get a hummer or a handi
2. worse for back seat air

My truck will be done shortly, i own a stereo shop and choose a truck with the center console/seat up front so i could tear it out and build a center console with 2 ten inch woofer in it, its ported and the woofers fire towards each other with nice led accents and plexi cut outs and so on. Getting the truck wrapped this week will post pics when its all put back together. Btw good choice on the ecoboost you wont regret it i have 9k miles on mine and no problems so far! and funnily enough my old f150 with the 5.4 v8 got 13mpg all around my new one gets 13mpg towing my boat!!! and a respectable 19-21 hwy
