Hello, McFly...move to the frickin south...oh....that's right, you have not even visited..damn yankee.

I have a 1996 F250 that spent it's whole life in Indiana, it doesn't have any body rust.

All depends on how well you keep it washed off.

I just bought my first Ford after over 25 years of GM products only. I bought a brand new F150 Lariat Crew after stopping by the local GMC/Chevy store (single lot) and not being able to find a single 1500 truck in ANY trim level or brand that was not made in Silag, Mexico. I looked at 40+ trucks from stripper white bench seat longbeds to 4WD SLT Crew Cabs and every one was Mexican made.

I currently own 3 GMC's (04 + 05 Sierra and a 09 Yukon SLT) all of which were made in America. My trouble free 03 2500 Duramax Crew w/173K miles got traded and it was made in Flint.

F150 was made in Dearborn and simply crushes the GM products. F150 has tri-coat pearl white paint, black leather buckets with heated and a/c seats, 20 inch wheels, power rear slider.....truck had an MSRP of 40,525 so it was loaded and is still missing 4WD/Sunroof/Navigation and I wanted/needed none of those. Truck is 3 weeks old and I have 2600 miles on it and love it.

I never even bothered a salesman at the GM lot, I wasn't going to buy a Mexican made truck. BTW all Dodge diesel trucks and all Toyota Tacomas are made in Mexico. Honda CRV, all VW Jettas and Beetles are Mexican as well.

Mexico is known for sh!tty beer, 3rd rate resort destinations and not one product is known for quality anything!
Uhh believe they are making ford trucks in Mexico as well. Buddy had a 2003 that was made there

You are correct. I knew the F650 was made there and I googled it and found:
Ford has major manufacturing operations in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, the People's Republic of China, and several other countries, including South Africa where, following divestment during apartheid, it once again has a wholly owned subsidiary. Ford also has a cooperative agreement with Russian automaker GAZ.

Looks like they make the 6.7 motor, the Ford Fiesta, Fusion, MKS and the F650/750 in Mexico currently.

After having the pleasure of driving my friends 2011 F350 to NC and back from MI two weeks (half the trip towing 12,500lbs) ago I can without a doubt say that my next truck will be a Ford. I have never been a Ford guy and admittedly laughed at all the issues they had with the diesels since they moved from the 7.3... but the new truck amazed me. The amount of technology available and the transmission/engine combo are impressive to say the least. I'm on my second Dodge (had a second gen and now a third w/ 5.9l) and after being disappointed that the truck was still a complete turd even after having 7 years between the two to fix obvious problems- I'm done. Legendary motor tied to a garbage transmission and wrapped in a poorly engineered and even more-poorly-built chassis. The truck I drove down to NC spends the majority of its time being beaten in the oil and gas fields of northern michigan to the tune of 25k miles already (he's had it for less than 9 months) and the only thing it's been back to the shop for is oil changes. For comparison- my '06 Dodge 2500 spends the majority of time on the road/highway and pulling my boats... it now has 49K miles and has already had all 4 ball joints replaced, new axle u-joints, new steering box, new upper and lower intermediate steering shafts, new trac bar and a new tie-rod and drag link.... not to mention a 1K computer that Dodge so wisely replaced the fuse box with.... instead of popping a $.25 fuse.... you have to replace a whole computer Anyways... I'll get off my soapbox now, but regardless of what the troll under the bridge says- I think Ford got it right this time.

And the best part is that the new Ford diesel is Ford designed, Ford refined and Ford built! No more International!

I'm still waiting to find one for $35K, however.

If it had been a Ferd you would be b*tching just the same and saying you would buy a Dodge. Anybody can get a lemon. I put 30,000 miles each on two 3rd gen 3500s one of them a dually and never had one issue with them.
