If you go dodge check out kernersville dodge in NC. I shopped around for 3 months and they were the cheapest I could find on the east coast, a little under 13k of msrp on my 2012 larmie cummins plus a 2500 discount. And they delivered the truck to my house on a roll back for free.

If you can't afford or do not want to spend the money on the new 6.7 then the 7.3 is your deal...BUT as Jassman says the 6.7 rocks bro I have 33000 on mine and it never ceases to amaze me....the best is the power and acceleration you have both empty and loaded with this thing is simply AWESOME!!!!!!!!

We have a very rare 2003 F-350 with the 7.3 in it. (Very last year.) The thing has 198,000 on it and runs like a champ. We also have a virtually identical 2003 F-350 with the very first generation 6.0 in it. What a total piece of rolling crap - with half the miles on it.

7.3 or 6.4, the connecting rod deal is not an issue unless your going to set fire to money and build it up. I have blown up several 7.3's....blocks tend to fail around 1100 HP.

The 7.3's are bullet-proof half-million-mile engines given proper maintenance.
Do NOT get a 6.0L. There are two kinds of 6.0L's...good ones, and garbage ones. The ratio is about 50/50. The good ones aren't for sale, and the time bombs are about to blow. Like the one I just got rid of, nothing but issues.
The 6.4's are supposedly a little better, but not by much. The ones that run are horrible on fuel mileage.
The new 6.7's are supposedly bulletproof awesome packages, but there aren't enough of them around with high enough miles to say for certain.
