Default Looking for new tow vehicle ideas

I currently tow my 24 outlaw with a chevy trailblazer. The truck is rated to pull 6500 lbs and the boat on trailer should weigh a little less than that, but it feels like it's past the "safety limit" of the blazer. It hasn't been much of an issue so far because the boat is kept ~3 miles from where I launch it. This year I want to travel around with it some and am starting to look for another vehicle to pull it. I'd like to stay around $7500, any ideas on what to look for?

You might be able to find a mid to late 90s half ton truck for that.
