Nicely done. One suggestion, tint those front windows Who's wheels are those? |

They are 22.5 Alcoa super single semi wheels, milled down to fit 22" tires. |

I just got a 13 DRW dually Denali and am thinking level kit and 19.5's to start off with. I am waiting on the delete but may pick up a tuner while I still can. I am leaning towards cognito leveling kit. That driveshaft looks good. |

Here it is I ordered it and picked it up with 3 miles on it. I put 4500 on it in 2 weeks. I cant do any crazy lifts or change tire size much as I put on a ton of miles on it. |

It looks like they fit under the truck in the rear but most stuff I have seen stick out 3 or 4 inches. |

What wheels and tire combo is that????
It looks like they fit under the truck in the rear but most stuff I have seen stick out 3 or 4 inches. All four rear wheels have been shaved, so they are close but not quite all the way under the fender. I did buy some flares for the rear but never put them on. |

Hi Guys,
Great trucks!!! I am looking for a truck to tow my 1990 Formula 311. Been looking at Ford F250 Superduty 2003 - 2007 because I like the look. I don't see too many of them on here. I've heard mixed reviews on them. Any feedback would be awesome!!! |

I've heard mixed reviews on them. Any feedback would be awesome!!! There are plenty of great 6.0L PSDs and you can spend weeks reading info on them; plenty of it here on OSO even as well as the diesel forums. You do need to do some research. General consensus: 2000 through early 2003 7.3L PSD Fords--awesome! (yes, I own one) Ford changed 2003 mid-year to the 6.0L PSD. 2003-2004 6.0L PSD--steer clear 2005-2007 6.0L PSD--not too bad The other biggest difference in that span is the suspension. In 2005, Ford went to coil spring front suspension over the leaf springs from 2004 and previous. This gives you a lot better turning radius; and more suspension options. This may help you determine which is best for you if you do a lot of urban driving and parking as the 2005+ does this better. It's been said before and I believe it rings very true. Paraphrasing: "If you have a 6.0L PSD, keep $8K in the bank because eventually you will spend it on the motor." (heads, studs, injectors, labor) Do some searches on the 6.0L. It is a good engine when properly cared for. However, I guarantee you that it is the most hated engine Ford has ever put into any vehicle. |

There is very little difference between a 250 and a 350 SRW. Basically, it's in the springs and those are easy to change out if needed. That will expand your pool of potential trucks. |

Used my rig last weekend to tow my boat to south Florida. It was the first time for me towing longer than an hour with this truck. Well... I didn't make it an hour before the NEW bearings had an issue on one wheel of the trailer. Damn near caught on fire! :angry-smiley-038: Five hours later I was back on the road and had a wonderful trip for 1100 miles. Didn't even feel like a boat was back there and I got a little over 12 MPG. I flew home late Wednesday and it's phucking freezing and snowing. I can't wait to get back down there and do some boating! :D
Some pictures... |
Craig- what does your freightshaker have in it for power and how fast were you running it to get 12mpg. I pulled my gun with my 11 3500 Duramax and saw around 13-14 back from Miami last year.
|
It's got a CAT 3126 with a 6 speed Allison. I was going 60-65 most of the time with little to no traffic for the entire trip. I wasn't in a hurry. ;) :D
It doesn't seem to make much of a difference with this truck if I'm towing or not as far as gas MPG goes... |

Craig , is that 3126 a 300 hp ? also what gears are in the rearend ? also tire size please . I have a 2002 f650 with 300 cat and 6 sp allison and 433 gears and 245-70-19.5 tires about 33 inches tall . I only get 11 mpg not towing at 70 . I am thinking of changing the tires to 255-70-22.5 . they are about 36 inches tall . I wonder if that would be to tall or not ? anybody have any thoughts on it ?

What power? No phucking idea. It's a CAT 3126, that's all I know. What tires? No phucking idea... except that they are 19.5" rims. I left the truck in Florida and flew home, so I can't check for you right now... What gear ratio? You guessed it... No phucking idea!!! I do know that I tach about 1600 rpm's @ 60 mph Not being a smartazzz... Just being honest!! :D:ernaehrung004: |

Here is our tow rig/hometoter. Its an old fire truck 1992, but it only has a little over 10,000 miles on it. Discel power and get 12 to 15 mpg. She may be for sale in the near future.
