Wannabe,

What are you averaging for MPG?

I have just 800 miles on my Denali 2500HD and see 16.2 on the on-board computer which was pretty close on the first fill. I'm not disappointed. My old Dodge 1500 with the 5.9 gas got about 11 and had nowhere near the capabilities.

I'm wondering if MPG will creep up or not. I drive about 15 mile trips on rural back roads with 60 being about as fast as I go, at last for now!

As for other stuff, the truck rides like a dream and I love the heck out of it so far.

edit to add: and stand by for the heat wave, gonna be close to 50 in a few days and damn am I ready.

16 overall. In the winter with warm ups (remote) and 4wd dropped to 12. Not suprised as mostly city driving in heavy snow and a regen.

On the highway at 65 mph it gets 21....

Sweet. I don't think I've had a regen yet so I don't know what effect that will have. More to follow!

Actually, i might have regened already. At about 500 miles I got a hot rubbery smell a time or two and then it passed. Might this have been a regen?

OK, that might have been the first regen then. Still, it didn't make my mpg suck, just made my truck stink!
