Ford issues

Had this issue today with an employee truck. Left him stranded with crew and large dump trailer in traffic. Truck said "Please pull over safely". He had to have someone tow him up and out of traffic to disconnect trailer. By the time I got there to haul the trailer, crew had moved on and wrecker was loading the truck. Dealer said, its just a sensor. Get it here quick and we can have you out today. The tow was about 1.5 miles to dealer.
Last week, friend with 7.3 Excursion calls me and says I think I am breaking down. Truck is down on power, smoking like a freight train and barely moving its own weight. Long store short, he limped it 25 miles to his house. Today finds out the valve cover bracket had rubbed through wire harness and had only 4 injectors firing... but it ran long enough to get out of harms way.
I don't understand the logic for little to zero notice of shut down. This is happening in Ambulances in Dallas! Shutting down during emergencies.

My next door neighbors 2012 F-350 truck shut down due to faulty nox sensor. Fortunately it was not on the highway, it was in a donut drive through. Not the first time his truck has been towed home by my Duramax

Ford blamed IH for ALL their Diesel engine troubles.Packed up their toybox said "were going to build our own" goodbye IH.
They have a great truck............ cannot supply a reliable diesel they have proven once again.

the 6.7 has proven to be a very strong and relible truck ,, 11 and early 12 had some issues but overall a good mill .. how many of theese gm s better than ford threads .. they all have issues . dodge has bad trannyies . ford cant build a diesl . duramax had bad injectors . i guess hopefully you have a warrentee . and buy what treats you the best .. i myself would buy any of our american made trucks . my truck of choice is a gm taking cause i wanted to give the d max a rip .. i like it .. but i cant say its better than my 13 powerstoke 6.7 .. i just loved the new look .

GM injector issues ended with the 2004.5 model. What have you got since then? My neighbor has had a 6.0, 6.4 and 6.7 since I bought my LLY/LBZ and he isn't a happy camper. The local Ford house has been generous with the trade-ins so he still will try again. The same Ford house has a large parking lot full of diesels (I'd guess 40-60) waiting repair. The GM dealer across the street only has a few.
Ford has been the better looking truck IMO however looks only get you so far.

Is your GM truck alright in that picture? It looks like that big ol' Ford might be just a little too much for the rear suspension.
All kidding aside, the best money I spent on my GMC was for this....

No airbags, no compressor or air chuck needed and best of all it really helped with axle wrap.
