Tom, thanks for the info, I called them and the trade was 1000 bucks under what another dealer offered. As luck would have it patience and craigslist yielded me a sale that brought $3500 extra towards new truck !! Glad i held out for straight sale.

So I went to another dealer, and sure enough, they offered me right at KBB trade in @ $35K,. which is fair. After I ran the numbers, it was $31K out the door for a 2015. I couldn't justify a new interior and a warranty for that amount, and really want to hold out if there are changes for 2017.

So, I just picked up a 1999 Ford diesel work truck for a reasonable amount w/ 137K on the clock. I will wait to see what they come out with, I really like the Duramax. A new Ford is also an option. any word on the street on changes for the Ford in the next year or two?

OK, nevermind. that thing looks hideous.

That front grill should double as a mirror, then you can do your makeup in it.

So did you sell the 2013 and take home the 99 Ford or just bought the 2nd truck for work? Either way it has to be like a time machine to go back to the older Ford! :D

^Ha, no I kept the 2013. I kinda like the old 7.3s. Noisy, smokey, oily, just like a work truck should function.

I hear ya on that.

My noisey oil leaking 7.3 is a big reason I don't sell mine. I really like and enjoy it, it gets the work down, and it is a fun truck to drive.

I keep saying I want a new Dodge 2500 but I can't see me letting go of the old Excursion.

I was as loyal as you to my 7.3 Excursion, "I will never sell it", "it does everything I need it to do", etc until I bought 6.7 F350. Didn't realize what I was missing. The newer trucks are just leaps and bounds ahead in all categories, no matter the brand.

That is also true and I agree, but I miss driving older stuff that doesn't cost so much and easy to maintain, and cheaper to hot rod it.
