I have a few guys ready to move with me but I can`t do Florida. it`s too damn hot, I`d melt. I can handle cold ,but not Florida heat Dude, once you get use to having a sweaty wet shirt, you will be fine. Once I realized that everybody sweats thru their shirt, I got use to it. |

Do you really need a dually? The one's I've ridden in do tend to ride rough and can buck.
The reason I ask is I've got a new Ram 2500 Megacab Cummins, which has rear coil springs. It rides like a dream. My friend has the same truck with the optional rear air suspension. His rides great also. These may not have the capacity you need. I'm not sure about tongue weight capacity, but I think the towing is near 20k lbs on mine. |
Airbags are a must. Takes the bouncing feeling away and less stress on the suspension. That being said the new trucks 2020 2021’s ride like a dream compared to the older trucks. I’m in a 2016 single day wheel F350 long bed and use to have 2009 gmc duramax. Honestly both trucks are nice. We are camping just outside of Hot Springs Arkansas and last night my wife asked if I bought a new truck what would it be? I told her whichever I could get the best deal on except a Dodge. All the hot shotters down here run Dodges but they get the work truck models because all the electronics crap on the loaded models.

Pull the overload leaf (if equipped) or pull couple leafs from the pack. Add air bags to make difference when pulling heavy, empty them when want smooth ride when loaded light.
Also I remember Sulastic spring shackles mentioned before as easy fix and provided good ride improvement. |
Damn Sydeways that`s a cool truck, love those bumpers! I`ll check out the suspension thats a good idea.
My tongue weight used to be on the light side , if I don`t pull the boat up far enough it wags the dog. Maybe I should invest in a new trailer instead of a new truck lol EDIT: which kit? They go from $900-$13,000 |

I agree with Sydwayz too. Id look into a suspension upgrade if that's your only complaint. As mentioned, Carli makes some really nice stuff. Thuren is also a solid choice and I used their suspension on my old truck (06 Cummins 2500). I had the jolting in the rear when unloaded. I went with Thuren's grease-able rear leaf shackle (about $300), cut my overload spring down to 14" (free) as suggested in there tech section, and added Airlift bags. It did the trick on my truck. I also installed their remote reservoir shocks, which was definitely overkill, and their mono tube shocks would have worked just the same for how I used the truck.
