Default rough riding Dodge

A buddy of mine has a Dodge 3/4 ton crew cab and he has exactly the same problem with the ride. He found a company that makes a softer set of leaf springs for the read and apparently it softens the ride a lot BUT you are going to lose some payload. The company reccomends that you put bags on the truck to get your payload back to original he told me the modification is bolt on and I believe he said it was around 1200.00 not including the bags!

well in my search i came across the sport chassis .
Air ride air seats , air suspension, back seat folds down to make a nice bed (sometimes we sleep in the boat overnight on longer trips )
I think this could be an option. I only use my truck for towing so this would not be a daily driver .

hmmm...

Make sure you drive it first. A good buddy of mine had one, great looking truck and would pull like a train, but it rode like a shopping cart. I used it to pull my car trailer about 300 miles, the drivers seat was air ride and was fine, passenger side and rear seats were the worse. The ride was so bad my wife said it gave her a backache and headache, she said she never rode in anything that bad. His had air ride and the pick up box, after two years he had to replace the box because the welds were all popping. He did take it in to Monroe truck to have it checked but they said it was fairly common.

The 4x4 Kodiaks ride absolutely horrible. Air ride or not. They are the worst in the segment. The 2WD versions are not much better.

Well if he gets that one in the link, at least it has run-flats.
Maybe he's trying to get rid of the kids for long trips.

Okay looks like I`m going in the wrong direction here lol .. Kodiaks are out , with the Duramax they also only get about 8mpg. Pass.

Any experience with these?
