makes sense; I still have the same truck intake but F body oil pan for clearance. I left the engine stock because every cam out there made more tq and hp above 3500 and lost some below. being a 5000 lb 1960 Caddy I opted to keep the low end power as I will rarely be above 3500

If I keep the truck when its done I'll build a 6.2 hot rod but it will probably go through a Mecum auction where they bring good money

yea, some of those are bringing stupid money at auction. my caddy is going to be a mostly daily driver for me. I have a 1970 Olds Cutlass SX convertible that is one of about 730 built. last year one went thru BJ auction for over $100k. I have had it since 1983 and paid $750 for it. who would have guessed.

Awesome job!!! Can't wait to see the finished project. I'm getting ready to do a LS swap in my 70 Chevelle. Just received the engine, trans and all of the goodies from GM. LS7 427/570 HP and a 4L75E trans, computers, etc.... . Really excited about this one. It's gonna be cool!

I love the 70 Chevelle, had one myself in high school. Great looking example of one, love the functioning cowl induction. Did you do one of the GM's connect and cruise packages?

Yes, Was planning on doing the LS3/525HP package, but GM has a 3-4 month backlog. This LS7 will be more fun! I don't want to mess with Speedy's thread. Will start my own thread once we get started. This supply chain delay stuff is phucked up!!!
