I saw a few of the Dogs at a show last weekend. Looks like a pretty nice bike for the money compared to what others are offering. I'm a hard tail chopper guy myself. I don't have any problems with getting beat up, but I have a 250 rear tire (16 psi) that really takes the bite out of the ride. The one thing I don't like about the BD choppers is the elevation and rake of the front end. They elevate the tank way up then use very little rake (with extended forks) to give the illusion of having a long front end. While this makes the bike more controllable and easier to ride (no radical rake), it looks stupid IMHO. I really like the look of a stretched frame (about 4 inches) with an inch or two of stretch in the down tubes, forks extended about 12"-14", with 45-50 degrees of rake... now that makes for a bad ass bike! The big rake takes a little time to get use to, but after a couple of hours you're riding like a pro. This aint your mommy's kind of bike!

Default Awesome Bikes - got one myself

I think the Big Dog's are a great bike. I just purchased a Mastiff a month ago. I shopped everywhere. Previous bike was a HD Springer Softtail. NO comparison between the two!

Iron Horse, Titan, Bourget...etc...are all real nice bikes, usually a little pricier and not as well recognized name to the average rider. so when you go to sell they can be difficult to turn. There are so many nice custom bikes, but sticking with a somewhat recognized name brand I think is better in the long run.

My dog Kick's A**, 107 S & S motor, 105hp at the rear wheel, it gets the looks trust me!
