The next thing you will see them on QVC or some late night Info-merce selling bobble head dolls on miniture bikes. This yuppie bike craze has got to kill the old hard-core guys (1%ers).

They are hacks - I have two friends that had their bikes, both POS's - electrical issues up the azz, S&S / RevTech motors - nothing original. They are just assemblers just starting to move some stuff in-house. And West Coast Choppers thrust custom bikes into the "public eye", these guys just came along and merchandised (pimped) the crap out of themselves and their theme bikes. Interesting to look at and all, but not a bike to buy if you want to (really) ride and know you're going to make it home.

Just my .02

DTM...I had two small electrical issues....I've got two thousand miles
on my bike now and don't hesitate to take it anywhere.

They do make some inexpensive models. Maybe thats what your friends
had. Don't get me wrong, I have seen some of there bikes I wouldn't
touch. I have a 121 cu in TP motor, Accutronics, Hawg Halters etc.

I just like it and really don't care if other people do.
Again..I got it before all the hoopla. I own it and am glad that if I do
sell, someone could finance if they had to. You can't on a lot of these
customs.

Right on bro! You like it, and that's all that matters. Occ may have the only custom bikes you can finance. Generally, if the Vin doesn't start with 1HD1, a bank won't talk to you.

Nahhh Joe, Vengence, Titan, Bourget, Big Bear Choppers and many other custom builders have everything to get you through the DMV and loan process. I wont take anythng away from some of the talent there,I'm sure both Sr. and Jr. have talent from years in the business. I know quite a few custom builders, and I did all the work on my bike. I've beaten OCC bikes in shows and I've lost to them too. Just like boats everyone will have their own choice, I like to watch the show strictly from the fabrication standpoint, and Mikey has his head on straighter than the rest of them. did they promote themselves into stardom, sure they did, but so di many others. I know inside stories on the place, but wont speculate. If they are happy good for them, same as the others, if you put your private life in the public eye, expect ridicule...just my .02...Rob
