I made mine out of PolyMetal. (Alum skin sandwiching urethane) Squair tube alum frame under with the exact same scoops you have. Works well.

Frame starting to take shape. Decided to make scoops removable so easy to fix when someone breaks them!

Buy a good hood scoop, I can stand on mine with no deflection or movement. Mine are fiberglass not the cheesy ABS plastic scoops.

The frame and deck of the hatch are welded up. Have the nice thick fiberglass scoops ready to go on... Will post picks soon.
