Add $600 for pistons, $300 for rods, $500 for what ever else, and I should be ready to bolt on the accessories. My guess is that I'll be around 3k all said and done... But she still tests out a 150-155lbs in each hole so maybe I don't need a full rebuild... |
Talked to the Leon this morning. He measured and ordered our tails for the Stellings dry headers today, $5300.00. As you all know my parts list is a big one so we are in the process if pre-installing everything, drilling / fitting / placement of all the parts before the bilge is cleaned up and painted so it will go together on final install and look nice when we are done. It is like rigging the boat twice but I beleive doing the extra work will show when she rolls out. It will be awhile before any more pictures are posted during this process. Thanks VV

$5,300 for tails? Forgive my ignorance, but are you just talking about the exhaust that goes from the headers to the transom?
I like the idea of drilling/fitting/placement first, then paint. Should make for a cleaner job. I can't wait to see how this job comes out.........and for how much. I'd like to have Leon re-rig my boat, but I'm leary the cost could get out of hand. |

It gets out of hand even when you do it yourself. I was going to replace my tails and change to dry unitll I saw the price tag. Im sure VV went with the really nice stellings pipes. Welds grinded off, shot gun water dumps bla bla bla.
