The Sportmasters have the lower water pickups. We installed pressure relief valves on the strainers because I was thinking I would have a lot of water pressure. Any thoughts besides external pickups?
Put the 280's back on ,,,the 380's are to long for ya.....sirious !!!
The boat willride much better with the short ones.

I bought a 3 bank ProTech 1240i Battery charger right after I bought the boat had a guy here in town install it. I noticed it wasn't working the LED lights weren't on. I took it out and went inside and found a fuse blown. I had two batterys and added another battery on the re-rig and it was not hooked to the charger and none of the batterys had buss fues installed to the charger. So I added inline buss fues on each battery going to the charger. She's working fine again now...

Did it at the pumps where the lines hook up. If I remember right it was a male to female fitting then I threaded the inside of the fitting to accept the Holley jets, hook the lines back up and bingo ............... Slow!

Today I am moving my water pressure lines from the block to the intake manifolds, they keep getting trash in them from the block position. That was fun reminded me of the Tommy Boy movie...Fat man in a little coat except this time fat man between 2 big blocks...I could barley reach to put plugs back in the blocks...

I awsume you gonna burn up the pump after a wile.

Put the 280's back on,,the reason why u think its faster is because u already hit the water when they are up.
the water brakes @ the end of the hull and splashes against them in the up position .
the bow can not lift right.

I HAD THE SAME HAPPENING ON MY BOAT,,,and put the 280's back on.
It realy only makes sense if u have boxes.
Becasue now u get more stern lift.

Don't think so, it's a closed loop system, think that I only did the one side. What goes into the ram is equal to what comes out.

If Bill would get on the stick here he could even check and give you the jet size that was used.

One side of the pump is a high pressure and the in is low pressure.

even tho the pump pumps in both directions ,,,i really think its not a good idea. to reduce flow in either side.

Sounds logical to do it on one side now that I think about it. I bought 4 SS hydraulic needle valves rated at 3000 psi. each for trim and tab pumps. The pump puts out 2600 PSI. One pump is always a little faster than the other, I'm thinking I will have more control of each pump with valves. I can slow one down to match the speed of the other so they will go up and down at the exact same time. Then adjust both for the speed it goes up and down. With this set-up I will have more control don't you think? The valves are 75.00 each but I picked up all 4 of these for 40.00 on ebay. I will let you know how it works out. I found this pdf file on trim pumps you might want to save for future reference....
