Ray, your welcome here anytime and very nice to finally meet you. Thanks for the tips driving this thing. I hope I didn't scare you going so fast .
When I got home those props I was telling you about were sitting on my porch. I guess they delivered them right after we left to the lake. I got them on and the 34's are in the swap sec if any one needs them. You take it easy on the rode and keep us informed on the trip. While you are in TN. you should't miss Cherohala Skyway This cyclist's dream road connects Robbinsville, North Carolina, with Tellico Plains, Tennessee. There are no facilities other than restrooms for the entire 40 miles. There is little evidence of civilization from views that rival or surpass any from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I can almost smell it as I speek. To take the Cherohala Skyway, just get yourself to Tellico Plains, TN which is located about 25 miles south of I-75 between Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN. From there you take Highway 165 east which at the TN/NC border will change names to "National Forest Road." Its a little difficult to describe at that point but I recommend you take a right on to Cherahala Skyway and take that only about a mile and then you want to take a left on to "National Forest Road" which will initially have you running north east but overall will take you east through the mountains and into Robinsville North Carolina. Overall, just make sure you follow the signs to Robinsville, NC.

I am in the process of installing thru hull water pickups, I'm just not getting enough water with through the sportsmasters pickups. I'm going with Teauge thruhulls instead of thru transoms because I can't get to them with the engines installed. They will be about 22" from the end of the pad towards the front, so I should be good to get plenty of water there. Through hull water pickup. 1.5" pickup tube at a 30 degree forward angle. 1.25" female NPT fitting. I got the sea strainers out waiting on parts.

I'm planning to leave the drive water like it is at the strainer and run the pickups to the strainer in the other 1 1/4" hole I have there. Am I thinking wrong? Both going in the strainer and the pump sucks from the bottom of the strainer.
