:flag:Just wanted to say Hi to every one, Just bought a 1994 26ft thoroughbred in Sept. Had it out 6 times and absolutely love it......Need a lot more time to get used to it but so far I,m amazed at how well the boat handles..It has a 540bulldog with a Weiand 256 blower, 30p prop. Third time out I ran out of gas with a 1/4 tank showing ugh....... didn;t realize the gauge was that far off,........that won't happen again. Mid 70's it chine walks alittle, Kenny at the factory said to countersteer slightly back and forth to compensate. Is this common with any of your Velocitys ? Anyway hope to learn alot from you guys ! How do you insert pics ?

When I first got my boat I had to learn how to drive it. Velocity's are a drivers boat, which is a good thing. Who wants to sleep at the wheel and just push the throttle forward? Half the fun is driving the boat!
You need to practice a bunch of wide open runs until you get the hang of it. You will figure it out and will never have a problem again. On mine, in the mid 70's it will want to roll to the left (port) then it falls off the pad and you have to get out of the throttle. When you feel that happening all you have to do is give the steering wheel a little bump to the right and that will keep it on the pad . After you master that, all you have to do is play with the trim and tabs untill you find that sweet spot that makes the boat just fly. Take your time, practice, and you will love it once you get it down.

Sounds good, can't wait till next boating season to get plenty of practise in. The previous owner said he never used the trim tabs only the drive trim. I haven't used them yet either aren't they more for really rough conditions ? The lakes I boat in stay pretty calm maybe a light chop or so.........

Where in MI are you. I have family in TC and Arcadia. If you head out the big lake you'll like the tabs. Beautiful water I'm envious.

I'm in T.C. It's awesome boating for sure. Having a ski boat for 20+ years I'm really having a blast in something that goes this fast.......... is there a way to post pictures from your computer or do you upload from a diff. source like photo bucket etc ????

Unless you are a paying member you can't post pictures directly . But photo bucket will work.

I am also a new Velocity owner. Havent had as much seat time as you but its been Hella fun so far. Congrats on your floater. :coolcowboy:
