Sunsation has orders to keep them busy into almost June of next year if I recall what Kyle last told me. Heck, 7 orders for their new 32' CC. May not be a direct sport boat but it has the performance. They were turning out quite a few 28-36s last year too.

From a factory Formula rep this year he said they are making 3-4 fastechs a year now...

Had the pleasure of meeting Kenny when I was looking at a velocity before I bought my first outlaw. Very nice guy, ended up meeting him when I ended up purchasing a trailer from him. Would bend over backwards for you!

Didnt like the entry into bayboat overcrowed arena. Still like the boats though, I would take a 390 or 410!!

I checked and the website is still up and for those that haven't visited lately, a new performance oriented video was posted last month. It's largely a combination of the best older Velocity videos but still nice to see! With the exception of the last few years, Velocity Powerboats had a long and exceptionally positive run in a market challenged by frequent ownership turnover, splashed hull designs and so-so customer service. Sadly all good things eventually come to end.

Who has splashed them? I liked that they seemed to be able to keep up with step boats. That last 390 with 565s went almost 100. Impressive!

I was commenting that the industry often splashed other designers' hulls and the Velocity hull was designed in house by Steve. That said, Steve made no secret that he leveraged the Allison pad bottom in making his first 30' offshore hull. Velocity was splashed in the late 1990's. I can't remember the name of the offending manufacturer as they didn't produce the boats very long. I seem to remember Steve telling me that there was legal action.

I think the 390 was the first boat to exceed 115MPH in 2006/2007 with with the Merc Racing 700SC/NXT package. The pad bottom fed cleaner water to the NXT than the stepped hulls - less prop slip. Even 8 or 9 years later the Outerlimits aren't much faster with newer technology using the same engine/drive package.

Campion alledgedly splashed a hull. Plus as far as I know the original 30 foot mold is still missing.
