the Campion chase 910 also had a single engine app - if I recall that was 30 foot boat with built in swim platform. Campion does not sell that model anymore. I want to say it was around in 1995 or 1996 till what 2006 or something like that

I was commenting that the industry often splashed other designers' hulls and the Velocity hull was designed in house by Steve. That said, Steve made no secret that he leveraged the Allison pad bottom in making his first 30' offshore hull. Velocity was splashed in the late 1990's. I can't remember the name of the offending manufacturer as they didn't produce the boats very long. I seem to remember Steve telling me that there was legal action.
I think the 390 was the first boat to exceed 115MPH in 2006/2007 with with the Merc Racing 700SC/NXT package. The pad bottom fed cleaner water to the NXT than the stepped hulls - less prop slip. Even 8 or 9 years later the Outerlimits aren't much faster with newer technology using the same engine/drive package.
