velocity tom, try having a dealership that's not in steves backyard and getting paid on warranty issues! Over the last two years we sold as many as anyone and one of our customers almost got killed because some idiot at the factory didn't know how to install hyd. steering! steve himself denied any wrong doing and the dealership had to eat it! now we are both being sued by the customer.

I'm looking at a 1998 Velocity 260 and am wondering if the 26' measurement includes the swim platform? I was told that, at some point, Velocity started including the platform into the length measurement, when did this happen or have they always included the swim platforms?
Thanks

If I am not mistaken they started including the platform around 1997. My brother has a 96 and it was listed as a 26' boat. Mine is a 98 exact same hull and mine is listed as a 28'. They are both called a 280. So if you are looking at a 98 260 the platform is included in that. Hope this helps.
