They handle great in a 2 foot chop, I had an 1984 OB and ran on the middle Chesapeake Bay for 5 years and loved it. I then moved up to a 28. Is the 22 you found in MD? Does it have tabs?

1Hyper1 , I have had my 1985 22 velocity since 1987. The boat is a blast to drive. Once you dial in the setup and get the feel of how to keep it up on the pad you will enjoy driving it. It is great to see the expressions on the faces of some of the drivers of larger boats when you go by. Frank sr

I've driven and owned both a 22' Velocity and Regal 230 Velocity. They are a blast to drive and handle 2' chop with no problem. You just have to learn to throttle the boat correctly so that your landings are soft. I've recently found a 1988 Regal 230 Velocity with a 7.4/bravo for sale and am contemplating buying it just to bring back some memories and put a grin on my face again!!

I also had a 1990 23' regal velocity with a 454 mag and loved it. I had a ball in it and it ran very good. Around 70 mph plus.
I wish I had kept it for my weekday boat. The old 22's and the new 260's are great boats for the money. With moderate power they run great.

THEY ARE ONLY ASKING $7900 FOR THIS 1988 REGAL 230 VELOCITY/7.4/BRAVO ON A TRAILER. THE MOTOR/DRIVE HAS 478 HRS BUT FROM THE PICTURES EMAILED TO ME, THE BOAT NEEDS A LOT OF TLC AND DETAIL WORK TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE. ALREADY OWNING A PRISTINE CHECKMATE PULSARE/225 EFI, I'M NOT SURE I HAVE THE ENERGY TO TAKE ON SUCH A PROJECT!!!
