That is unfortunate.... If you do receive them make sure you check to see that they are not 496 motors with "860" stamped on them. Sorry to hear...

You are OEM dealer and Boat manu why did you buy thru this hack who shaves all serial numbers off ? Unless you are talking about someone else you sent 140 K to ??

If this is a case ordering thru CME --- Man I feel sorry for you and bet you heard every excuse under the sun and the moon. From MW.

You should be posting this all over the web and forums. I understand its none of my business but this guy as I mentioned 5 years ago about do not do any business with him and got totally plastered over it . .

Why is the CME beware post completely gone and under review CME is not even an advertiser, surely I am not the only one to ask this question ?

Not sure what thread you are referring to. There are 2 threads in the Beware section about CME. If its not one of these two, then let me know with a Thread Title and date of the last post in that thread.

One was started by OSO member smokin' gun. He resolved his issue with CME the same day and HE deleted his thread himself as any member can do within 24 hours of posting.

The other thread was started by OSO member MCKILLOP. and that thread was started just asking if anyone had done business with CME.
It really did not belong in the Beware Section at that time and it was moved to General Discussion with a permanent redirect to the new location.
If you click on that thread it takes you here. That thread is this thread.

For those that have not seen it yet. There is a new Vendor Section in the Industry News. That section was designed for threads exactly like this one and I will be moving this thread there soon, but will leave it here for a while so everybody sees this.

It was a thread about new prop sales and both props were used restamps - MOSES was also in that thread as well about his dealings and prop dale . That thread is still up here on OSO ? I am asking cause I do not know and post # 101 mentions a post as well. Was nt he ( Offshore Legend ) the one who posted about his restamp - reworked prop that was to be a new prop sale thru CME aka M W.

Is Mercury involved in this yet? Shouldn't they be?

That's how we ended up finding out what was going on, check with them on the serial numbers directly instead of using Mer Net.

I've dealt with Mike when I ran LOM and we were not a Mercury dealer, got drives, long blocks and transom assemblies, etc from him. Never an issue and always got the parts. It's 100% my fault our company sent the money on the motors. We got the serial numbers, checked Merc Net, etc to make sure they existed. Needed them for a project and they were ready to ship and a good deal, found out after we paid they allegedly were over seas. Waited about two months with shipping issues, etc before we found out we were not getting them and received the "brokerage" fee back after I asked for it only. Still out around $140,000.00. I'm only posting now because I don't want someone else to make the mistake I did. They company still wants to recover the funds.

Pretty sure that's not going to happen & we won't be ordering any parts from anyone other than Mercury again.

Rexalot started a thread in the beware section or added to one about his re stamped prop. Moses added onto it with a recent purchase...it seems to be gone.
